The two lettered word which marked the starting of a revolution at BIT.Let me explain how..
LAN was a dream for which all BIT-ians were waiting for months and years…such severe excruciating anticipation & then finally one day their prayers took shape. LAN started working. It was the mark of our sadness as LAN was intra-hostel, our grand dream of high-speed internet took a head along dive and viruses flooded our computer system.
Then came along TSR with the gift, the bane; something which gave LAN a whole new meaning. It became an integral part of our life and the reason why “Communication Point” cant run its business of CD library half as fluently anymore.
DC++ evolved BIT-ians about the way they used to lead their lives. Free exchange of thoughts between girls and guys started taking place thanks to the annonymous chats.
Anything that happens in BIT would be flooded with the conversations of the same. Photos, videos, views and motives would be shared extensively without fear of getting spotted by the authorities and/ anybody at all…
Online friends were just a part of the game. People with whom your wavelength matches, people from whom you know you’ll get a certain movie, folks with whom you love playing those multiplayers, discussing issues or maybe just talk about simply LIFE, UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING!
Eventually DC++ became just another addiction in BIT,ranking more than smoking and available more freely than booze.LOL. Addiction cause you’ll log onto it any chance you get & you’ll download any crap that you had dreamt and wanted on your computer,while the virus invades your computer freely and extensively.Simply, cause you don’t want to switch on the firewall and Kaspersky cant be updated daily thanks to the sucky download speed.
But still DC++ = Developing the computer more and more…and it rocks like HELL!!
